In demand as a solo recitalist, Thomas tailors his programmes to suit both instrument and audience, and his repertoire extends from the earliest organ music to demanding contemporary literature, and includes a number of virtuoso transcriptions, most notably Zsigmond Szathmary's arrangement of Dvorak's "New World" Symphony. His recitals, broadcasts and recordings receive high praise, and recital venues have included St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, King's College Cambridge, York Minster, Reid Concert Hall Edinburgh and numerous English cathedrals. His playing has been broadcast on BBC1, Radio 2, Radio 3 (including the first broadcast of the new organ of Leeds Cathedral) and Classic FM and can be heard on a number of commercial recordings.
A hugely experienced organ accompanist, Thomas has worked with a number of leading choirs and orchestras, with music ranging from continuo realization to oratorio arrangements, and including all the major organ accompaniments.
His inspirational and informed teaching is sought after, and he is the visiting organ teacher at the Grammar School at Leeds and Harrogate Ladies' College.
